THE BRIEF:
Design a poster that explores the concept of light and dark and that delves into the essence of LOLA fest - a three day art and music festival that transforms downtown London into a spectacle of light and sound.
THE PARAMETERS:
You may use 2 colours only
Must be original artwork
If used, LOLA powered by Rogers logo must be either red, black or white
Festival dates must be included in some manner (September 17,18 & 19/2009)
Poster size is 26 inches x 40 inches (artists using non digital methods may scale their original to 9.75 inches x 15 inches)
Entries may be supplied electronically or in original format (check website for upload instructions and delivery address)
Logo files and entry form may be downloaded at lolafest.com/postercontest
THE DEADLINE:
Submissions must be received by midnight, Friday, May 22, 2009
THE PRIZE:
$100 cash prize for winning entry
The winning entry will be reproduced and hand screened by students at Beal Art in a limited edition run
on 26”x40” Roland Opaque30 80lb Cover stock.
The winner will receive 10 prints of their poster and will be recognized in any related LOLA literature as
well as on the LOLA website
All submissions entered by the deadline will be displayed on the LOLA website*
THE SMALL PRINT
All entries will be judged by the LOLA organizational committee. There will be one winner chosen for the cash prize and poster reproduction
*LOLA reserves the right to refuse any submission deemed inappropriate.
LOLA reserves the right to add relevant sponsor logos to the winning entry prior to production.
LOLA reserves the right to resize and edit entries as necessary for final production.
Entries may be submitted in original form by hand, courier or post, or digitally via CD, DVD,
USB stick or email.
All submissions become the property of LOLA and will not be returned to the artist unless other
arrangements are made.
Proceeds from the possible sale of the limited addition prints and/or all other
submissions will be donated to LOLA, a registered non profit organization.
