Rogers TV premieres 5 new community-produced shows

Rogers TV London Supervising Producer Russell Archer says the station is working very closely with community members to produce more access series.  “It’s an exciting time for us and for viewers as they’ll soon be seeing new series conceived and produced by Londoners,” explains Archer.

New Series Premiering the Week of October 25th:

Tuesday, October 26 at 10 PM; regular airing is Tuesdays at 8 PM
Over 55 is a 13-part, half-hour series providing the latest lifestyle information and research for London’s Baby Boomers and beyond generation. Ron McNish, Executive Director of Over 55 (London) Inc. hosts local experts who will provide guidance on a range of relevant topics including fitness and preventative health care, employment and retirement planning, hobbies, travel and more.

Tuesday, October 26 at 10:30 PM; regular airing is Tuesdays at 8:30 PM
On Patrol is a 13-part, half hour series, hosted by London Police Media Relations Officer Constable Dennis Rivest. Each episode follows the men and women of the London Police service as they work to protect the citizens of London and area. It’s an indepth look at the diverse units and services the London Police provides for our community and features episodes on the k9 unit, explosives disposal unit, forensic identification unit and the emergency response unit.

Thursdays at 6 PM
London Under 30 is produced in partnership with the graduate students of The University of Western Ontario’s Journalism program. Explore the issues affecting Londoners under 30, the contributions they make to our community and meet young, dynamic Londoners. The 13-part half hour series hosted by Western students Elvis Anber and Amanda Grant, includes reporters from Western and Fanshawe College who will uncover how this demographic contributes to the local arts scene, businesses, sports, politics and more!

Thursdays at 6:30 PM
Community Connections hosts Michelle Baldwin, Executive Director of Pillar Nonprofit Network and Chantelle Diachina, Client Relations Manager at rtraction shine a light on the volunteers and nonprofit or charitable organizations whose work significantly impacts our community.  This 13- part half hour series will inspire you to get involved as volunteers, donors and supporters of the over 1,000 nonprofits and charities in London.

Thursdays at 8 PM
Mosaic is a half-hour program celebrating London’s multi-cultural diversity and showcasing many of the distinct vibrant cultures that contribute to making our City a better place to live.

Returning to the schedule is Newsmakers with host Bob Smith, Thursdays at 7:00 PM, a weekly in-depth panel discussion on local issues of the day and Forest City Living, Thursdays at 5:30 PM that explores London’s restaurants, attractions, culture, art, businesses and entertainment.  TV Fanshawe is also back Thursdays at 9 PM and Western’s Big Purple Couch airs Thursdays at 10:30 PM.
